Pre-Prep Program (4 to 5 years)

Our Pre-Prep program prepares children for a confident transition to school by strengthening learning skills, independence, and positive character. Children at this age benefit from deeper exploration, responsibility, and collaboration.

We support children to become curious, capable, and compassionate learners, building skills and attitudes that help in school and in life.

Our approach to school readiness:

Developing Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills includes:

Inquiry-based learning (children ask questions and investigate ideas) encourages exploration and problem-solving.

Educators engage children in meaningful discussions during stories, projects, and group experiences.

Experiences such as nature exploration, creative arts, and real-world learning broaden children’s understanding.

Strengthening Character and Resilience includes:

Children are encouraged to take responsibility for learning and behaviour.

Mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn and improve.

Educators model empathy and respectful communication

Supporting Emotional and Social Readiness includes:

Children learn to manage emotions, solve social challenges, and cooperate with others.

Limited choices support decision-making and independence.

Strong routines and clear expectations support self-regulation. Self-regulation means staying calm, waiting, and following routines.

Preparing for School and Beyond includes:

Early literacy and numeracy are introduced naturally through play and intentional experiences. This means reading and number concepts are introduced in everyday play, stories, and planned activities.

Children develop listening skills, focus, and the ability to follow instructions.

A strong sense of identity, belonging, and wellbeing supports a smooth transition to school.
