Kindergarten Program (3 to 4 years)

Our Kindergarten program supports children during a time of rapid growth in thinking, language, independence, and social awareness. Learning is driven by curiosity, play, and relationships. Children thrive when they feel secure, capable, and valued.

We nurture both learning and character, helping children develop confidence, problem-solving skills, empathy, and self-control through purposeful play and guided experiences.

Our approach to learning:

Growing Curious Thinkers includes:

Child-led and open-ended play (children’s interests guide activities, with many ways to play) encourages creativity, independence, and problem-solving.

Daily interactive reading builds vocabulary and understanding through discussion and prediction.

Educators model rich language throughout the day using meaningful conversations and new words.

Building Character and Emotional Intelligence includes:

Educators model kindness, patience, honesty, and respect in all interactions.

Children are supported to recognise and name their emotions, learning healthy ways to express feelings.

Effort and perseverance are praised, helping children develop a growth mindset. Growth mindset means learning through practice and persistence.

Developing Independence and Responsibility includes:

Children take part in routines such as tidying up, helping prepare activities, and making choices.

Consistent routines provide security while encouraging responsibility and self-confidence.

Social play supports sharing, turn-taking, and understanding others’ perspectives.

Program highlights:

Play-based learning with intentional teaching. Intentional teaching means educators plan experiences on purpose to extend learning.

Language-rich environments and daily literacy experiences. Language-rich means lots of talk, stories, songs and conversation all day.
